MORE ABOUT ME
My interest in creating images and capturing moments began at a young age, I was intrigued with the technical aspects of how cameras worked but also in how important photographs themselves were to those around me.

However, it was a unique experience later, through my work as a Police Constable with the NZ Police that really spring-boarded my career into the world of photography.
After being selected to receive extensive training as a forensic photographer, I was given an opportunity to not only learn and train in this highly skilled arena, but also gain first hand experience on the ground across New Zealand.
With demanding environments from night time events, to crime scenes, through to highly detailed in studio work, this provided a truly unique angle on how to best capture moments and create quality imagery - under pressure!
After moving to the Bay of Islands with my family, I went on to complete my Diploma in Professional Photography through the Photography Institute and launched my own photography business. This was initially focused on providing commercial photography services to real estate clients - capturing the beauty and value of a diverse range of properties.

I have honed this interior and architectural photography over the years, as it can be technically demanding and difficult in various locations. I now consider myself to be an expert at lighting interior spaces, using advanced lighting techniques and digital blending processes to ensure the interior spaces are well lit, while retaining a natural ambient light feel to the images.

This passion for capturing moments, as well as the technical challenges of location planning and lighting has led me to expand my services to include corporate imagery and head-shots through to event photography and portrait photography.
​
I strive to continually improve my photography work by seeking out continuing education opportunities. I have attained "Accredited Professional Photographer" status with the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography and have also received a number of Bronze Awards for my portrait photography work through the International Portrait Masters Awards & Accreditation platform.
